Man, are we LAZY!

I figure blogging can't damage my rep at work any more than letting them know that I play World of Warcraft. So we're back after over a year...

Casey's birthday was a lot of fun. The weather was nice, and Windy's mom made a very elaborate princess-themed castle cake complete with a horse-drawn carriage out front. Sorry, no photo.

Windy picked the kids' Halloween costumes this year. In about 10 years they're gonna hate her for it, too. James was borderline-sexual-predator Peter Pan, and Casey went as Tinkerbell, icon of trailer trash women everywhere. I handed out candy, and yes, I had my sample packs of shampoo ready for any teenager lazy enough to call his Metallica shirt a costume. Sadly, no costumes were creative enough to warrant address. Nothing but cheap, unimaginative, store-made filler, and there were maybe 10 different themes max (boys and girls combined). If some poor shleb had simply cut leg holes in the bottom of a refridgerator box and walked around like a droid from Star Wars saying "Bleep Bloop" over and over, I would've been so impressed I would've handed him all the rest of our candy and closed our door for the rest of the night. Yes, that bad.

Finally, we got James in Cub Scouts. He started as a Wolf and he enjoys it. We have yet to find something similar for Casey and she's feeling sad and left out in the meantime.

James is looking a little to happy in that Peter Pan outfit. You could have went with Captain Hook to keep James and Casey in the same theme.
